Three persons were yesterday remanded in prison by a Magistrate's court in Ilorin, Kwara State for allegedly killing one Afolabi Fasasi.

The accused are Abubakar Dambo, Toyin Akanbi and Fatai Baba.

It was gathered that on December 2, one Danfulani Abdullahi of Balogun Fulani, Ilorin reported at the station that on that day, when he was about to observe prayer at Opomalu mosque, he saw some miscreants pursuing one boy from Sabo-line Opomalu junction.

The complainant added that after he finished prayer, he received information that a boy had been stabbed to death at Opomalu area.

The prosecution said, "Investigation conducted at the Department revealed that on December 1, Afolabi Fasasi went to one Dauda Lateefat, bought medicine from her and refused to pay. As a result, the accused persons challenged the deceased, and that during the argument the accused stabbed Afolabi Fasasi and dumped his lifeless body at Isale Opomalu.

The accused persons were arraigned over criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide, offences that contravene sections 97 and 221 of the penal code. Magistrate O.M. Adeniyi ordered their remand at Federal Prison Yard, Oke-kura, Ilorin and adjourned for further mention.
