The Kwara State government has disclosed plan to relax measures for acquiring land and Certificate of Occupancy to encourage investment in the state. Speaking at the inauguration of an automotive battery assembly facility in Ilorin, the state capital, on Wednesday, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed said that the state had gradually changed from being a civil service state to an industrial hub.

Governor Ahmed, who said that his administration would continue to create a conducive environment for investments to thrive, added that all machinery would be in motion to sustain the atmosphere of peace, which he described as a necessary prerequisite for industries and commercial ventures. He also urged the nation's industrialists to come over to Kwara State to enjoy the benefits available.

The governor, who said that the product of the company would aid access of people to quality supply of battery, thus promoting private transport businesses, added that it would also boost effort of the government in the creation of jobs and engaging more people directly or indirectly.
