Saraki's probe dangerous for Nigeria - Tsav

Date: 2015-09-25

Former Lagos State Police Commissioner, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav, yesterday said the ongoing probe of Senate President Bukola Saraki is dangerous for the country.

Tsav told newsmen in Makurdi that the country may be reverting to the days of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, "when anti-corruption agencies were engaged in selective probes considering the circumstances shrouding Saraki's ordea".

"The probe is a witch-hunt. If not, why did they not take it up on him long ago. Why did they not take it up when he was in PDP and romancing with the APC? I think we are creating a very dangerous trend in this country. Why did they wait until after 13 years before probing him? Why did they have to wait until he became the senate president before probing him?," he said.
