Burkina Faso qualified for the semi-finals after they won the lots drawn between them and Sudan on Monday to decide the runners-up of Group A. The two teams had ended their group matches on the same points - four - and goal difference - zero.
Adepoju, who spoke with The Punch correspondent on the telephone on Monday, said the Burkinabe would be tough, but tipped the Nigerians for a victory.
"The team has done well so far," Adepoju said.
"I believe they should get to the final if they can work on some of the mistakes they made in their previous matches."
The Kwara Football Academy Manager said the team should work on their attack as they had yet to fully utilise the chances they have been creating.
The team come from behind to draw 1-1.
He said, "The team has a good coach in Samson Siasia. They should work on their attack and make sure they convert the chances that they have been created for them.
"Their defence is okay but their attack is not good. They have not utilised their chances.
"For them to beat the Burkinabe, they should create more chances and as the chances come, they should convert more than they lose.
"If they work well with the tempo they started with, they will get victory and a place in the final."
