The Technical Adviser of Kwara United (Ilorin), Tunde Abdulrahman, after a week 27 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match against Kano Pillars in Kano appreciated the center referee, Patrick Nworie excellent for putting up an outstanding performance.

One of Kano fans favorite, Rabiu Ali had put the home team in front just seven minutes into the match and that effort was enough to seal the maximum points for the home team.

However, Abdulrahman was happy with Nworie's performance and rated him as one of the best he has seen this season both home and away and called on him to maintain such display.

"Yes we lost but Referee Patrick Nworie was 100% the best today. If Nworie continues like this then the sky will be his starting point," Abdulrahman stated.

"If he can keep this display we will see him at the world cup very soon. If we can get this kind of performance, week in week out in our league we shall improve drastically" Abdulrahman said.

Abdulrahman maintained that Nigeria is full of talented people and the league organizers should continue to encourage referees like Nworie. Abdulrahman who guided Wikki Tourists of Bauchi to the apex football league in Nigeria noted that the late response of his goal keeper to Rabiu Ali's free kick cost Kwara United at least a point on the night.

"I'm very happy with my boys today. There are lots of positives from this game today and we will go home to see how we can maintain it. That late response by our goalkeeper cost the team a point but that's football," Abdulrahman stated.

Kwara United will hope to bounce back from that road loss when they host Abia Warriors at the Ilorin Township Stadium on Sunday when hostilities resume in NPFL match day 28.
