4 held over murder in Kwara
Four suspects, Idris Manko, Mohammed Ladan, Umaru Solawo, and Abubakar Danto, all from Lafiaji area of Kwara State, have been remanded in prison for allegedly murdering one Usman Yusuf.
The prosecutor, Aderinde Abideen, told the court that the case which was transferred from Divisional police station Lafiaji to the Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Ilorin was reported on July 11, by one Usman Malawo.
"He said he received information that his son, Usman Yusuf, an Inspector in the Nigerian Immigration Service, attached to Edu Local Government, had misunderstanding with a motorcycle rider", the prosecution said.
He added that the deceased used a stick to stop the rider but that he refused.
Magistrate A. M Ibrahim ordered their remand at Federal Prison Yard, Oke-kura and adjourned the case to August 20.
