Senate Presidency: Saraki Receives More Endorsements

Date: 2015-05-31

The aspiration of Sen. Bukola Saraki to become the Senate president received a boost as a serving senator from the Sokoto East Senatorial district, Eng. Dr. Ibrahim Abdullahi Sardauna Gobir, threw his weight behind the bid.

This was contained in a statement made available to LEADERSHIP Friday.

According to the lawmaker, the nomination of Senator Bukola Saraki as Senate president was in view of his good record of services, being a man of the people, visionary leader with vast experience and foresight.

The lawmaker stressed that if Bukola Saraki is chosen as the Senate president of the 8th National Assembly, the upper chamber would witness rapid development, especially at this very challenging time of higher expectations from the electorate.
