Awoyale raises alarm over attack on PDP members, bill boards
Chief Awoyale also berated the All Progressive Congress, APC, over indiscriminate destruction of posters and bill boards of the People Democratic Party, PDP, and deliberate attacks on its members.
He stated this in a statement issued in Ilorin today stating that the APC attempt to over heat the polity is no doubt undemocratic , callous, unwanted, barbaric , condemnable and undesirable to the good people of Kwara state.
"Instead of the sitting APC government to put smiles on the faces of Kwarans by embarking on policies capable of transforming the fortunes of the state, they are busy nurturing thugs, hoodlums and sponsoring unhealthy campaigns in an a desperate attempt to retain power.
"Kwarans have spoken in their numbers and they have further expressed their total rejection of the APC led administration aimed at crippling the entire facet of the Kwara economy. Their campaigns was full of blatant lies and deceits.
"Their heavy campaigns and poster placements has further showed that APC is not on ground and cannot win the hearts of Kwarans with stipends. We condemn their acts of incompetence and negligence" he said.
The Igbomina chieftain over appealed to the people of the state especially youths not to yield to the antics of the APC by allowing them to be used as political thugs and destabilizers of the peaceful co-existence' " be calm and remain law abiding, there is always light after the tunnel".
