This was contained in a statement signed by the Chairmen of the party in Asa and Ilorin West respectively, Alhaji Issa Afon and Alhaji Yusuf Olugbon, noting that such is the antics of the APC.

According to them, ?"There is no iota of truth in the APC's claims that 3000 PDP members defected from Asa and that 2000 PDP members defected to APC from Ilorin West. We are surprised that APC could descend so low to resolving to cheap blackmail and propaganda in order to have its ways ahead of the forthcoming polls.

"We make bold to state emphatically that none of our members have decamped or willing to join the fraudulent political dealers in mortgage the good fortunes if the state. PDP is the party and will continue to be the platform to beat. "

?The party chieftains however maintained that APC is completely jittery and confused owing its total rejection by the electorate throughout the campaign made so far. They therefore urged the general public to disregard the information as a mere tissue of lie aimed at misinforming and misguiding the interests of the electorates ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
