Governor Abdulaftai Ahmed has returned his completed nomination form to re-contest for second term as governor for Kwara State in 2015.

The governor, seeking re-election on the platform of All Progressives Congress(APC), returned the forms to the party's national secretariat in Abuja yesterday.

Speaking shortly after the submission, the governor said he believed that his achievements in Kwara State in areas of infrastructural and economic development as well as security would guarantee him victory at the poll, despite the exit of some chieftains of the party to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

"We have a lot of confidence because APC has fully taken over Kwara to deliver an APC government. Naturally, we have people going in and out but the structure is very strong and firm, ready to deliver an APC government.

"My government has touched people's lives in human capital development, economic development and, of course, the infrastructure and most importantly, security which has made people to sleep with their two eyes closed."
