All set for Shao Day
An invitation extended to The Herald Arts reveals that apart from the launching the programme will also seek to promote the sociocultural heritage of the people of Shao through cultural display, dance and other activities.
Renowned for their community self-efforts, Shao people have completed the police station, civil defense post and the renovation of some schools in the ancient town. The launching is therefore to assist the community in the completion of the ongoing ultramodern town hall.
Some of the dignitaries expected on the occasion include the executive governor of Kwara state, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed; former Presidential aide on National Assembly matters, Senator Makanjuola Ajadi; immediate past chairman of the Federal Character Commission, Professor Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem; Senator Gbemisola Saraki among many others.
