Emir Predicts Bright Future For Nigeria

Date: 2014-06-21

The emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has canvassed for private-public partnership (PPP) for prompt development of the nation's economy.

Gambari, who called for peaceful co-existence among Nigerians, predicted a bright future for Nigeria, despite the present the nation's current challenge with insurgency.

The emir, who spoke at the commissioning of Debby Mega Shopping Mall, Olorunsogo Area, Ilorin, said private investors could serve a veritable tool in turning the nation's economy around through creating employment opportunities for teeming jobless Nigerian youths.

The traditional ruler, who was represented at the event by Balogun Fulani of Ilorin, Alhaji Atiku Durosinlorun, said: "We are encouraged that the shopping mall is sited in Ilorin. This will no doubt add to the development of our town.

Therefore, we are urging other private investors to emulate this kind gesture, as government cannot exclusively meet all the economic needs of Nigerians.we should assist the government in creating job opportunities for our youths and at all times maintain peaceful co-existence."
