The Nigeria Police Force has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of one Mr. Kayode Adewoye, an Assistant Commissioner of Police.

The late Adewoye resided at the Police Officers’ quarters, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos State and was said to have been found dead in his bed by family members on Tuesday.

According to Vanguard, someone had gone to his room to check on him and discovered his body dead.

The cause of his death is still unknown at the moment, but sources close to him said he was diabetic.

Until his demise, Adewoye was the commandant in charge of the Police Training School, Iperu, Ogun State.

The late Adewoye belonged to police cadet ASP course 290 and was about 53-year-old. He had worked at Ilasa, Bariga, Badagry Police Stations as the Divisional Police Officer, among other places.

The deceased studied Theatre Arts at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State. He was the chairman of the University of Ilorin ‘Kegite’ club for 1985/86 session.
