Kwara PDP chairman dissociates self from ward congresses.
Chairman Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwara State, Hon Solomon Edojah yesterday disclosed that he had no hand in the just concluded ward and local government congresses, as well as that of the state scheduled to hold tomorrow.
Hon. Edojah said the activities of the congresses were strictly carried out under peaceful atmosphere and debunked the rumour that crises marred the party’s congresses across the state.
He stated this while speaking with journalists, noting that though there were minor disagreements in the ward, they were too insignificant.
According to him, “Let us not paint an exaggerated picture of violence, there was never violence. Mark you, we have 193 wards and the ward elections were held simultaneously in those 193 wards.
“There are bound to be minor disagreements, they were too minor and insignificant in number to undermine the entire process”.
