Unilorin VC commissions ASUU hostel project

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali, has described the institution's Chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) as an epitome of exemplary leadership and purposeful unionism.

Prof. Ambali made this remark last Wednesday (January 29, 2014) during the commissioning of the first phase of a block of hostels built by ASUU to alleviate the accommodation problems facing female students on campus.

The Vice-Chancellor, who expressed gratitude to God for allowing him to witness the commissioning, recalled that he laid the foundation of the hostel a few months ago, adding that ASUU has shown all unions in the University how unions are to be run.
