Politicians Urged to Emulate Late Saraki
Nigerian politicians have been urged to live a life worthy of emulation through commitment to the welfare of the masses.
An engineer and close associate of the late Second Republic Senate Leader, Dr. Olusola Saraki, Ibrahim Makanjuola, gave the advice at the second Open Forum on the Life and Times of Saraki, organized by Kwara State University, Malete. Makanjuola, who described the late Waziri of Ilorin as a consensus builder, emphasized the need for his political followers to take a cue from his character and attributes which endeared him to many.
He said if Nigerian politicians studied and imbibed the quality of the late Saraki, there would be less rancour in the politics of the nation. In his address of welcome, the Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University, Professor AbdulRasheed Na'Allah, represented by the Academic Coordinator to the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Sakah Mahmud, thanked the people of the state, specifically, the late Waziri's followers for attending the Forum.
