The management of Harmony Holdings Limited has appointed Mr. Olasunkanmi Adekeye, as the new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Kwara Insurance Brokers Limited.

In a statement on Friday by the Head of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Tunde Abodunde, the firm explained that the appointment of Adekeye took effect on October 2.

The statement added that the appointment was made to better align and focus key strengths and expertise on critical areas of operations and corporate growth initiatives for Kwara Insurance Brokers.

According to the statement, Adekeye's appointment is part of various initiatives being undertaken by Harmony Holdings Limited, the wholly owned investment holding company of the Kwara State Government, to reposition the subsidiaries under it, including Kwara Insurance Brokers, for efficiency and profitability.

Adekeye is bringing in a wealth of experience and knowledge, having served for more than two decades with various insurance institutions prior to his most recent role as the Head, Client Services, Scib Nigeria & Company Limited, where he was instrumental to the generation of new businesses as well as expansion of existing ones.

The statement added that Adekeye was expected to use his competencies of product knowledge, rich training on meeting customer needs in a competitive market, proven passion, and broad-based skills to the advantage of Kwara Insurance Brokers, especially in the company's bid to operate in its niche market outside of Kwara State.

The new managing director/CEO holds both the B.SC degree in Economics and a post graduate degree in Management. A Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, he is also an Associate Member of the Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria.
