Pilgrimage Beneficiaries Pray For Rafiu Ibrahim
The lawmaker, who represents the Senatorial district at the upper chamber of the National Assembly, was deemed worthy of the prayer for sponsoring a score of faithful Christians to perform pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
Held at his constituency office in Omupo (Ajase-Ipo road), the prayer session had in attendance: leaders of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Kwara South branch, the prospective pilgrims, members of the empowerment committee, party members and the representative of the legislator, Hon. Gbenga Emma Dolu.
Prayers were made with special focus on the forthcoming 3-in-1 empowerment programme by the constituency office of the Senator, a commendable initiative to empower 3000 people from Kwara south.
CAN, using the medium, also beseeched God to grant Mr. Rafiu more protection and long life, as he turns 50 in few days.
With the gesture well appreciated, the lawmaker was described as a man of usual altruism and philanthropism.
In his address, Hon. Gbenga disclosed that the Senator is not just doing this, for the first time. According to him, Mr. Rafiu had sponsored a number of constituents (Christians and Muslims) running to a thousand, dated back to his time as a banker, till his remarkable time as an honourable at both state and federal houses, and now as a Senator.
Gbenga, however, urged the pilgrims to remain good ambassadors of Kwara South both at home and Jerusalem. He enjoined them to pray for peace and prosperity of Kwara state and Nigeria at large.
