The newly appointed Ojomu of Offa Land, Offa, chief Joseph Bayo Akinola FNIM. Will be formally installed on Saturday, 27th April, 2012. The ceremony which will be held at the Olofa's palace, Offa beginning at 10 am will be performed by His Royal majesty, the Olofa of Offa Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II.

The new Ojomu, born on the 2nd August 1946 hails from Ojomu Arojojhoye's compound, Offa obtained his B.sc. Hons. in physics in 1970 at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria.

He attended several courses in Nigeria and abroad in Accounting and Business management.

He was appointed the Otun Bashorun of Offa by the immediate past Olofa of Offa, His Royal Highness Oba Mustafau Olowore Olamipekun Ariwajoye II while he is also serving the Oba Mustafau Olowore Olamipekun Ariwajoye II while he is also serving the Offa Community and Offa Local Government in various capacities.

A devout Christian, he was the immediate past vice lay president of Kwara Diocese of the Africa Church and he is currently serving the Africa Church (Worldwide) in various capacities. He is married and blessed with six children.

An author of two books, he is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of the management (chattered) and pioneer chairman of Kwara state of the management as well as an executive member of the Kwara chamber of commerce, industry, mines and agriculture.
