I Won't Brook Rascality at Kwara Utd, Abdulrahman Warns Players
The recently hired Head Coach of Glo Premier League new comers, Kwara United FC of Ilorin, Tunde Abdulrahman, has warned that he would not hesitate to throw out players who will not submit to club discipline urging such players to take their leave now.
The team’s Media Officer, Olayinka Owolewa, said in a statement in Ilorin that Abdulrahman read the riot act at his first formal meeting with the players on their training ground yesterday morning at the Ilorin Township Stadium.
The tough talking Coach said, “you will enjoy working with me but you need to be disciplined and hard working, I am a goal getter and my ambition here in Kwara is not different from the past even as I planned to achieve more here”
“If you ask anyone who has worked with me in the past, they will tell you there are no rooms for laziness I want to seek your cooperation to take this club to greater heights together” Abdulrahman pleaded with the players.
While introducing the new technical crew to the players, the General Manager of the club, Alhaji Haruna Maigidansama, congratulated the players for their contributions in ensuring that the club returned to the Glo Premier League after many seasons in the lower division. Maigidansama said Kwara United belongs to the elite league and thanked the players for “bringing Kwara where it rightly belongs”.
He said their doggedness during the cause of last season was appreciated by the people of the state and the state government and pledged total support and a rewarding season to all of the players that have contributed to the growth of the team. The General Manager was accompanied by the Club Secretary, Elder Dele Oguntokun, Team Manager Agboola Basambo and some other top functionaries of the club.
It would be recalled that the Kwara State Government on Monday approved the appointment of Abdulrahman, the former Wikki Tourist of Bauchi gaffer as the Head Coach of the Ilorin based team.
Also in the new technical crew of Kwara United is Babatunde Sanni as the Chief Coach, former Nigeria international, Jimoh Balogun as the Assistant Coach while Kareem Elemosho joined the club as goalkeeper trainer and Mustapha Ganiyu was appointed as a Trainer
