Date: 2013-07-17

Chairman, Board of Directors of the International Aviation College,Ilorin, Kwara State, Captain Edward Boyo, has said additional two training aircraft recently acquired by the college would boost the training programme of the college.

He spoke when the board members visited the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, at the Government House, Ilorin.

A statement on Tuesday by the governor's Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba, said Boyo commended the state government for facilitating the procurement of the two aircraft.

He said the institution was running at full capacity on a platform that would ensure stability and growth.

He added that the first set of commercial pilots of the college would graduate next month.

The governor promised that the Engineering School of IAC would commence soon, adding this was to enable the institution to maximise its potential of becoming the hub of aviation training institutions in the country.

He stated that the aviation college had come to stay, adding that more hostel facilities would be provided to enhance the welfare of the students.

"Additional hostel facilities would be provided to ensure that students' welfare was not compromised with the much anticipated increase in the student population of the college," Ahmed said.
