Kwara to construct 544 classrooms
Speaking at the opening of the bid, the Chairman, Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Mr. Sa'ad Alanamu Koroagba explained that the state SUBEB was ready to utilize funds for two years for the construction of classrooms.
Dr. Koroagba told successful bidders that the board would "visit your sites to supervise and monitor the project and ensure compliance."
He commended the effort of the Kwara State Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki for his usual prompt release of UBE counterpart fund.
Commenting, the UBEC co-ordinator in the state, Hajia Aishat Abdul appealed to the contractors to utilize the money effectively in order to boost education reform in the state by present administration.
Hajia Abdul also commended the SUBEB for their activities in ensuring the job is given to capable contractors.
Speaking on behalf of the contractors, Alhaji Abubakar Amosa Kutu appealed to UBEC to release the money when due in order to complete the construction in given time and also applauded the state government for the opportunity to given to them to contribute their quota to enhance education.
