Kwara United FC of Ilorin have signed six new players to beef up the team’s performance in the ongoing 2012/2013 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). This was contained in a statement issued in Ilorin yesterday by Olayioye Ajide, Media Officer of the club.

The statement said that the six new players were registered after the week nine transfer window. It noted that Adekunle Muritala, who could not make registration with the Ilorin premiership side at the inception of the league as a result of injury, topped the list. Others were: Awakan AbdulAzeez, Issa Kunle Usman, Malik Mustapha, Jimoh Oseni and Yahaya Adam.

The players, according to the statement, were clinically signed, to fortify the team in various departments. The statement also said that the technical crew, led by Coach Samson Unuanel, gave the assurance that it would enable Kwara United to bite better and deliver goals.

It added that that the technical crew would not relent in its effort to strengthen the team, as no player was indispensable or irreplaceable. The team equally appreciated the financial and moral support of Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmedled Kwara government, which had displayed love and interest in the activities of the state’s darling team.
