ABS Out to See Olutayo in Cup Tie
The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, ABS said they have declared operation crush on the state FA Cup semifinals opponents, Olutayo FC.
The semifinals encounter against the amateur side will hold on Thursday at the Kwara State Stadium, llorin.
ABS coach, Kabiru Dogo said his wards are mindful of the tricky nature of the competition and will come out in full force to grab a convincing win.
“The Challenge Cup is full of surprises so we won’t take chances against Olutayo FC. It’s the final ticket that’s at stake we won’t play with it.
“We’re going out with all the strength in us for a win and ticket to represent the state at the national finals.
“Olutayo FC are a big side irrespective of the fact that they’re an amateur side. They play good football and we’ll treat them with respect,” he said to supersport.com.
Dogo said there is no vacancy in his side during the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) transfer window period.
“The players are better now than when we started the season, the only problem we had was we didn’t start off very well but those hitches are being taken care of.
“I don’t think we’re going to bring any new player into the team during the transfer window but if the need arises we’ll look inward not outside,” he said.
The llorin-based side at present occupy the 14th position on the 20-team NPFL log on 11 points from a possible 27.
