The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Kwara State branch, has elected Hajia Munirat Akanbi-Bello as its new chairman.

Akanbi-Bello emerged victorious at the association’s election held on Saturday in Ilorin, where she contested against two other male candidates.

In a statement issued in Ilorin on Sunday, the newly elected chairman expressed appreciation to her colleagues for the support and confidence reposed in her.

She described her victory as a collective achievement, saying it reflected the unity and shared commitment of members to building a stronger PSN in Kwara.

"This victory is not mine alone; it is ours. It is a testament to our collective strength, unity and belief in a greater PSN-Kwara," she said.

Akanbi-Bello pledged to lead the association with integrity, transparency, inclusiveness and dedication.

She also promised to work towards advancing the pharmaceutical profession, protecting the practice and improving the welfare of members across the state.
