The Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has charged newly sworn-in members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to be patriotic, humble, and responsible citizens in line with the scheme's core values.

He gave the charge during the swearing-in ceremony for the 2026 Batch "A" Stream II corps members at the NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.

Represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Ambassador Ndanusa Shehu, the governor welcomed the corps members to the State of Harmony and urged them to participate fully in all camp activities, including physical training, paramilitary drills, and leadership development sessions.

He advised them to remain humble, exhibit good character, and serve as worthy ambassadors of their families while embracing honesty and hard work as guiding principles.

The Governor further cautioned against distractions, urging the corps members to focus on building leadership qualities embedded in the NYSC programme.
