Kwara First Lady Leads Launch of Queen's Commonwealth Writing Competition in Kwara

The Queen's Commonwealth Writing Competition, organized by the Royal Commonwealth Society, has been inaugurated in Kwara State.

The globally respected platform empowers young people to express ideas on pressing issues through creative writing, fostering critical thinking, storytelling, and cultural exchange.

With the support of Her Excellency, Ambassador Prof. Olufolake AbdulRazaq, this year's edition was launched with a strong presence of traditional rulers, government officials, educators, students, and corps members, demonstrating a shared commitment to nurturing young voices.

Also in attendance was Mohammed Funsho Abdullahi, representing the Honourable Minister for Youth Development, Mr Wisdom Olawande.

In her remarks, Ambassador Prof. Olufolake AbdulRazaq emphasized that Kwara will not just participate but will compete with purpose, prepare deliberately, and position its students to shape global conversations with their ideas.
