AbdulRazaq Okays 2025/2026 Civil Service Promotions, 10,000 Elderly Get Owo Arugbo Benefit
Payment has commenced for another batch of 10,000 elderly beneficiaries under Kwara State's Owo Arugbo social support scheme, as Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq approved the commencement of the 2025/2026 promotion exercise for civil servants.
The Kwara State Social Investment Programme announced that each of the 10,000 senior citizens will receive a one-off N50,000 benefit under the Owo Arugbo initiative.
Beneficiaries were drawn from across the 16 local government areas of the state.
Meanwhile, the Governor has directed that processes for the 2025/2026 promotion exercise in the state civil service should begin, a move expected to ensure that the state has no outstanding promotion arrears.
The development underscores the administration's focus on social protection for vulnerable citizens and career progression within the public service.
