Kwara Poly Debunks March 9 Resumption Rumour, Urges Students to Disregard Viral Message

Date: 2026-02-04

The Management of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, has dismissed a widely circulated message claiming that academic activities would resume on Monday, 9 March, describing the information as false and unauthorised.

In an official statement released on 2 February 2026 from the Office of the Acting Registrar, the Polytechnic clarified that the notice, tagged "Official Notice to all Kwarapoly Students", did not emanate from the institution. Consequently, students have been advised to disregard the message completely.

Speaking on behalf of the Management, the Acting Registrar, A. H. Amin, stated that the Polytechnic has not announced any resumption date. The statement warned students against acting on unverified information, noting that such messages are capable of causing confusion and avoidable inconvenience.

The Management further stated that it will communicate legitimate updates regarding resumption dates, academic activities, and other key matters only after receiving directives from the appropriate authorities. It emphasised that any approved update will be disseminated solely through recognised institutional channels.

The Management urged students to rely strictly on these official platforms for accurate and timely information, while restating its commitment to keeping the student body properly informed.
