National Youth League Super Eight: Kwara United's Young Guns Target Breakthrough in Lagos
Kwara United Youth Team Coach Jimoh Abdulkadir has expressed confidence in his squad's readiness for the National Youth League (NYL) Super Eight competition, set to kick off on Monday, 23 June 2025, in Lagos.
Speaking ahead of the tournament, Coach Abdulkadir stated that the team will capitalise on the momentum built through rigorous training and recent matches to deliver strong performances. He highlighted the players' preparedness and eagerness to showcase their skills on the national stage.
The NYL Super Eight, a prestigious platform for young football talent, will feature the top eight teams from across Nigeria, with Kwara United aiming to advance its reputation as a feeder for future stars.
"We are ready for the competition and going to Lagos to conquer," Abdulkadir told Kwara United's media.
"Our focus is to build on our current momentum and deliver a performance that will make Kwara proud."
The Harmony Boys developmental team are in group A alongside Kano Pillars, Enyimba, and Plateau United.
Group B will feature Shuffle Select FC, Sunshine Stars, Mailantarki FC, and Atlantic Business FC.
