Kwara United Shift Focus to Federation Cup Final After NPFL Campaign Ends in 14th Place
Kwara United Technical Adviser Tunde Sanni has stated that the team will now pivot its focus to the 2025 President's Federation Cup final following the conclusion of the 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The Harmony Boys finished their NPFL campaign in 14th position with 50 points. Their final league match ended in a 1-0 loss to Katsina United on Sunday.
Despite the season's outcome, Sanni expressed confidence in the team's future, stating: "We will work harder to deliver a stronger performance next season."
"We thank God for the success of the NPFL season," Sanni stated in a post-match interview.
"We will come back stronger next season. Our focus now is to win the FA Cup, and we are prepared to achieve it."
Kwara United will do battle with Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Abakaliki FC in the final of the President Federation Cupm
The winner will play in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
