The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) Northern Zone has extended congratulations to Mrs. Islamiya Abdulraheem on her historic appointment as the Acting Registrar of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA).

In a statement issued on Wednesday, A.S. Moyosore Esq, Chairman of the union, highlighted Mrs. Abdulraheem's achievement as the first female to assume the role at the institution.

“Hajia Islamiya Abdulraheem is a trailblazer. We are proud to celebrate her as the first female to hold such an enviable position in University of Abuja,” Moyosore noted.

He expressed confidence in her ability to uphold the administrative standards of the institution in her new role.

Mrs. Abdulraheem, a seasoned administrator, brings her wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as Deputy Registrar overseeing the Vice Chancellor's Office and Deputy Registrar of Establishment.

Her expertise is expected to ensure the university's smooth operations until a substantive registrar is appointed.

Moyosore prayed for Allah's blessings upon Mrs. Abdulraheem, asking that she be endowed with the strength, wisdom, and foresight necessary to excel in her position.
