Kwara Govt Closes Post Office-Emir's Road for Upgrade, Diverts Traffic
The Kwara State Government has announced the immediate closure of the Post Office-Emir's Road to facilitate ongoing rehabilitation and upgrade works, as part of its urban renewal projects.
In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engineer Abdulqawiy Olododo, the government emphasized that the upgrade is part of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's vision to improve road networks and boost the local economy.
Road users have been urged to use alternative routes during the rehabilitation process to ensure public safety and smooth travel. The government has asked for the understanding and cooperation of residents while the works are underway.
Road users from Maraba can use the Post Office Flyover as an alternative route, while Vehicles from Offa Garage should take the Zulu Gambari Road as an alternative route.
"We apologise for any inconveniences this closure will cause, and we seek the cooperation of the general public during this period," the statement said.
Motorists are urged to follow traffic directives and exercise caution when navigating the area.
