According to a news report from the Kwara State Government Facebook Page, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has expressed his condolences to the people of Ilemona in Oyun Local Government Area following the passing of His Royal Highness Oba Yusuf Omokanye Oyekanmi on Saturday, 18th May.

The Elemona passed away at the age of 95, as reported by the palace.

The Governor extended his heartfelt sympathies to the sons and daughters of Ilemona, particularly members of Oba Oyekanmi's immediate family, including Honourable Toye Yusuf, a member of the Kwara State House of Assembly representing Odo-Ogun State Constituency, and Col. Nurudeen Yusuf, the aide-de-camp (ADC) to the President.

Governor AbdulRazaq prayed for Allaah to grant Oba Yusuf Omokanye Oyekanmi al-Jannah Firdaus and to provide comfort to all those who mourn his loss.
