Ritual Murder Uncovered: Male Corpse Found at School Premises
According to a news report from the Daily Trust, a male corpse has been discovered on the premises of Government Technical College (GTC) in Ilorin, Kwara State. Our correspondent reveals that the victim's head was brutally smashed, and both wrists were severed in what appears to be a ritual-related case.
A security guard at the school recounted that a few nights ago, he noticed a tricycle parked nearby. Before he could approach, an individual dropped a lifeless body and swiftly fled the scene.
He further said, “Upon a closer inspection, we found a corpse on the ground with a damaged head and wrists missing. The school was alerted, leading to the involvement of the police that evacuated the remains.”
When City & Crime visited the school, the principal was not available, and attempts to reach him on telephone were unsuccessful.
However, the spokeswoman of the Kwara State Police Command, DSP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, confirmed the incident, saying, “The victim suffered head injuries from a stone before having both wrists chopped off. But we are yet to receive the report of a missing person matching the victim's description.
“However, investigation is ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding the gruesome incident and to ascertain the identity of the deceased.”
