Date: 2022-09-26

The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has expressed sadness over the death of his Chief Security Officer (CSO), ASP Adebayo Olowoyo.

The first-class traditional ruler stated this in a condolence message issued by his Spokesman, Malam Abdul-Azeez Arowona, on Sunday in Ilorin.

The CSO died in the early hours of Sunday in Ilorin.

The Emir lamented that the deceased rose through the ranks and file of the Nigeria Police Force to become a decorated police officer due to his commitment and dedication to work.

Sulu-Gambari expressed shock over the unfortunate incident, saying “ASP Olowoyo was a trusted police officer who worked assiduously as my personal security aide for many years.

“He was a diligent, committed, and dependable security aide who gave his best by taking absolute charge of the security architecture of the entire palace.

“We shall surely miss his exit.”

The Emir prayed that Almighty Allah should comfort his family and commiserate with the deceased wife and children, as well as the Inspector General of Police, IG-P Baba Alkali.

The traditional ruler also condoled the Commissioner of Police in the State, CP Paul Odama, colleagues and associates of the departed CSO over the irreversible and sad occurrence.
