A special prayer has been organised for Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State by a sociopolitical group, AbdulRazaq Support Group (ASG) in Ilorin for improved performance.

The members of the group, comprising All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains in various parts of the state, said the governor deserved to be supported with prayers.

At the prayer session, led by prominent Islamic scholars from Ilorin Emirate, the people passed a vote of confidence in Governor Abdulrazaq, saying that his administration had brought about paradigm shift in governance.

Speaking at the event, the chairman of the state House of Assembly Committee on Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Honourable Omotayo Awodiji Felix, noted that Governor Abdulrazaq required prayers, goodwill and encouragement to succeed in office.

"I believe the prayer session is timely, and this goes to show that we believe in the efficacy of prayers. Our governor needs prayers, goodwill and encouragement to be successful, because of the enormity of responsibility on his shoulders," he said.
