As part of activities by the kwara state government to contain the spread of corona-virus in the state, the Alanamu ward COVID-19 Commitee today fumigated the Alanamu market and the Alanamu Basic Health Centre in Ilorin West local government area of the state.

The Chairman, Health Committee of COViD-19 in Alanamu ward, Professor Ajibola Akanbi-two, who stated this today while speaking with newsmen said the fumigation is to assist the people at the grassroots to prevent the spread of corona-virus at the grassroots.

Professor Akanbi-two stressed that the Commitee would also embark on house to house campaign to enlightening people on the danger of the COVID-19.

According to him, Corona-virus is a global diseases which required prayers to curb the spread of it, urging the people of the state to obey the government directive by engaging on regular hand washing and social distancing for the benefit of all.

Professor Akanbi-two appreciated the state Governor, Mallam AbdulrRahman Abdulrasaq for inaugurated the Ward Committees across the one hundred and ninety-three in the state.

In her remark, the Officer In-charge, Alanamu Basic Health Centre, Alhaja Apata Aisha appreciated the efforts of the Commitee for fumicated the clinic to prevent it from current global diseases coronavirus.

Alhaja Aisha appealed to the state government to provide Personal Protective Equipment to protect them from potentially infectious patients and materials and other potentially dangerous substances used in healthcare delivery.

Also speaking, the Iyaloja of Alanamu market, Alhaja Bisoye Aromokala thanked the state government for the bold steps taken so far in containing the spread of the virus.
