GUIDE JEALOUSLY OUR NEWLY BIRTHED FREEDOM, LUKMAN MUSTAPHA CHARGES KWARANS

The Chairman, SOBI 101.9 FM Mallam Lukman Mustapha has charged Kwarans to guide and guard jealously the newly sworn-in administration of the Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq led All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State.

Mustapha, one of the leading chieftains of the APC in the State made the disclosure while felicitating with Kwarans for spearheading the struggle of self denial that birthed the new administration, stressing that it is incumbent on all stakeholders, especially the electorates to partner the government towards ensuring campaign promises are kept and the government never derails.

The Captain of the Rebirth movement however enjoined all elected and would be appointed officials of the government to always be oblivious of high hopes and expectations of the electorates who have been at the receiving of maladministration for decades, adding that, the government must strive to justify the aptness of the unanimous decision of the electorates to stand by the APC at the last elections.

He said "Today, in the history of our democratic sojourn as a sub-national State, and as a people of diverse sociocultural heritage but with a peculiar political narrative, which to a greater extent had impeded our spate of growth and development trajectory over the years. It is indeed glory worthy to Allah (SWT) for making this day a reality, a day marking the transition of our dear State from a personified sociopolitical entity, to one every Kwarans regardless of their social, political and economic status can proudly lay claim to as a 'stakeholder'.

"It is on the above premise that I heartily congratulate and felicitate with every Kwaran out there, who jettisoned personal aggrandizement for the progress, redemption, development, and above all, absolute sociopolitical and economic Rebirth of Kwara state.

"As a people, regardless of our status, it is a common stigma on us that we revolt against and successfully, we have collectively undone the historical stigma of underdevelopment, imposed low self esteem, misrule and political ineptitude. We have shown the world that our destiny is right in our hands and our resolution to be in charge of it is unnegotiable.

"As we raise our expectations in the government we have collectively installed, under the stewardship of His Excellency Alh. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, we must understand that our responsibilities as good citizens expectant of unprecedented deliveries from our new government with a pan-Kwaran mandate is not limited to voting in political office holders.

"It must be made a point of patriotic call to pray for our dear State and her leaders at different levels, support governmental efforts to better the lots of Kwarans and be disposed to making altruistic and productive inputs that will set Kwara state on the path of greatness in our individual and collective capacities.

"I congratulate all the Elected officials, from the National to the State levels. Let me reiterate that they have been called to a challenge, and their places in history would be determined by how effective and efficient they are able to responsibly and responsively serve the people whom have bestowed their trust in them.

"We have vouched for you all before the people and it is our hope that you will not disappoint us all. Let me charge all elective officials to always reflect on the moments of romance between Kwarans and the today's 'political persona non grata', as a guide to the kind of reputation their decisions, actions and inactions as public officials may earn them.

"Once again, I congratulate the true heroes of our local democracy, the good people of Kwara state, His Excellencies President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the duo of the Executive Governor and Deputy Governor of Kwara state, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and Kayode Alabi, all elected Kwara Senators, House of Representative and State Assembly Members. I wish you all the very best as you proceed to serve" he emphasised.
