Channels Kids Cup: Kwara guber aspirant congratulates winning team

A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Alhaji Tajudeen Audu, has congratulated the pupils of LGEA Central Primary School Kaiama Football Team over their victory at the just concluded 10th edition of Channels International Kids Cup.

In his congratulatory message issued on Monday, Alhaji Audu who is also the Makama Lafiagi stated that the 3-1 victory of the team last Saturday is highly commendable.

According to him, " Your display of high sense of sportsmanship, fair play throughout the competition as well as victory at the finals is a testimony of the fact that more could still be achieved in future through genuine commitment.

"I am highly delighted and proud of you for making Kwara State standout among other states of the federation and world at large through your wonderful performances and excellent display of patriotism."

Alhaji Audu however felicitated with the people of Kaiama local government area for nurturing skillful youths who shall soon become world future football stars.

He also commended the State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, for making youth empowerment and adequate funding of sporting activities essential in his administration.

He therefore urged the winning team to sustain its stance as the defending champion in future tournaments even as he boasted that Kwara youths are articulate, vibrant and productive in their dealings.
