Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, was turned into a revue Thursday when a 'mad man', whose identity is yet to be identified, was nabbed on what looked like an espionage. The man who dressed like a mad man was sighted by a vigilant passerby who raised alarm.

When the 'mad man' was held down by people in the neighbourhood before the police arrived to whisk him away, the fake madman was nabbed at the front of the busy street housing the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.

The passerby who had observed the 'mad' man making a phone call silently and was speaking with coherence on the call raised alarm. The alarm attracted most of the people around who summoned courage and resisted his 'wild' attempt to escape, formed a ring around him. The 'mad' man was over powered.

Suddenly, from no where, there was an intervention of a man in ankara who was pleading for the 'madman' which many suspected him to be a co-pilot in the evil deeds they may have planned to unleash.

Inside the bag of the 'madman' was found a cheque of N100million. Further check revealed the 'madman' in clean outfits posing with some of the nation's top politicians. There were seven of such photographs. Also in his small bag were four ATM cards from different banks, there were also male and female condoms, vials of Valium injection and an infinix Hot 5 phone.

Police later arrived in a truck and whisked him away. Efforts to get official police reaction as at press time did not yield results.
