Ijaiya Boxing Club sets Ilorin ablaze

The maiden edition of Ijaiya Boxing Club organised by Champion versus champions boxing tournament has been scheduled to come up at the Kwara state stadium on Saturday December 30. The tournament begins by 2pm.

Boxers from six boxing clubs will compete in the event. They include Okekere Boxing Club, Progressives Boxing Club, Amule Boxing Club, Offa Golden Stars Boxing Club, God Dey Boxing Club and Tiger Boxing Club.

Boxers will compete in lightfly (49kg), Light Welter weight (64kg), Bantamweight (56kg), Flyweight (52kg), Lightweight (60kg), Welterweight (69kg) and Middle weight (75kg) categories in the event.

The end of the year competition is being packaged to further advance the development of boxing in the state.

Among the dignitaries expected to grace the ocassion are the Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Pharmacist Kale Ayo, the Director of Sports, Mallam Tunde Kazeem, Alhaji Like Shittu, Alhaji Aduagba, Kaamag Motors and other voxing enthusiast.
