Long Queues Return To Ilorin, As IPMAN Begins Strike

Date: 2012-02-14

Members of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) yesterday in Ilorin, Kwara State,  made good their threat to embark on strike.

All the filling stations owned by IPMAN members in the state did not sell fuel yesterday and this resulted in long queues of motorists at the filling stations in the state capital.

The chairman of IPMAN, Ilorin unit, Alhaji Agbolade Bolaji, had at the weekend threatened that members of the union would withdraw their services in the state from yesterday.

He told journalists in Ilorin that his union was not comfortable with the way the the security agencies and the Judiciary were handling cases of suspected pipeline vandals in the area.
