The State Deputy Governor, Elder Peter Kisira, gave the assurance Sunday in his keynote address delivered at the Inter-denominational Church Service to commemorate the Golden Jubilee celebration of Kwara State held at the United Missionary Church of Africa Theological College (UMCATC), Ilorin.

The Kwara Deputy Governor thanked the brethren in the Lord for their understanding, cooperation and support.

He appreciated ?the prayer and sacrifice of the people toward sustaining the peace in the state.

Elder Kisira noted that the face of the state has been positively turned around in the last 50 years in line with the contemporary Nigerian system as the achievements are visible across sectors and in all nooks and crannies of the State.

In his message titled "the blessings of Jubilee" Reverend Peter Awojobi? called on the people to praise God at all times and honour Him for His mercy and blessings on the state and the nation.

Reverend Awojobi commended the Kwara State government for committing the programmes and the State in the hands of God.

The Cleric described Nigeria as a covenant nation and a nation that would rule the World spiritually, economically, politically and socially calling on the government and the people to use the abundant land in the country to feed the World.

?He thanked God for the peace in the State and called on the government to attach great priority to the issue of security to ensure the safety of the people.

Reverend Awojobi urged the leaders and the people to fear the Lord and play their part effectively for the development and progress of the State and the Nation.

The Cleric? prayed God to restore all that the State had lost and bring new things in the land.

?Scripture reading was taken from the book of Leviticus chapter 25 verses 15-19 read by the wife of the State Governor, Deaconess Omolewa Ahmed who was represented by a member of the State House of Assembly, Mrs Felicia Owolabi.

?Special prayers were offered for the three arms of government, the citizens and the future of the state.
