Quality Education: FG to renovate police children school in Ilorin

The Federal Government is to commence massive rehabilitation of police children school to ensure qualitative education to children of security officers and the public.

The deputy Commissioner of Police who is also the Force Education Officer, Rabiu Ladodo, dropped the hint in Ilorin, while inspecting Police Children School, Kulende, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

He expressed displeasure over infrastructure deficit and reaffirmed the commitment of the federal government in addressing various challenges facing the school.

Ladodo implored members of the public to contribute their quota to the development of the school while also commending staff and management for their pro-activeness in the discharge of their duties. He added that he was delighted with the standard of teaching in the school, urging them to sustain the tempo.

Earlier in his address, the head teacher of the school, Talabi Olukayode Samuel, described the visit of Ladodo as timely, adding that since the establishment of the school in 1993, he is the second Force Education Officer to visit the school.

He applauded the visitor for his constant support, urging him to come to the aid of the school in addressing its numerous challenges.

Also speaking, the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) chairman of the school and Secretary to the Kwara State Road Maintenance Agency (KWARMA), Alhaji Tunde Aremu, said the association had been up and doing in providing palliative measures to the numerous problems facing the school.

According to him, the PTA in six months time will donate new bus to the school to ease transportation problem faced by the pupils. He added that the association has secured a land which the state government has approved for the proposed Police Secondary School in Ilorin.
