Ahmed Tasks Civil Servants On Commitment
The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has tasked civil servants in the State to remain committed to the ideals of the civil service and the realization of the good governance goal of his administration's Shared Prosperity Programme.
Governor Ahmed made this call on Tuesday when he paid an unscheduled visit to some offices within the Government House in Ilorin.
Governor Ahmed, who described the Shared Prosperity Programme as an article of faith, told the civil servants that his administration would implement to the letter a service charter that places emphasis on programme management, monitoring and reward.
The Governor attributed the occasional delay in the payment of salaries of some public service workers to the delay in the disbursement of federal allocations.
He assured the civil servants that his administration will always pursue people oriented programmes with an assurance that they are kernel to the realization of his administration's programmes and policies.
Governor Ahmed charged the civil servants, Muslims and non-muslims to use the holy month of Ramadan to be more dedicated to the spirit of nation building and good neighbourliness.
"Our happiness must be derived from the happiness of our neighbours. Let's be our brothers' keeper", the governor encouraged the workers.
