Ramadan: NURTW Chair Cautions Drivers Against Excessive Speeding
The chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Kwara State, Alhaji Issa Ore, has cautioned members of the union against excessive speeding during the period of Ramadan fast.
Ore advised commercial drivers to move early from the motor parks so that they would arrive at their destinations early enough without necessarily resorting to over-speeding.
He equally enjoined drivers not to make calls or pick calls while driving so as not to be distracted,urging them to abide strictly by the policy of not drinking while driving or before driving.
Ore commended the national leadership of the union under it's National President, Alhaji Najeem Yasin for providing purposeful leadership and pledged the support of his members in the state to it.
He assured the state government of NURTW members support and cooperation always. He, however, appealed to the government to ensure that all roads are motorable all year round.
