Governor Ahmed pledges support for artisans
 
    
The Executive Governor of Kwara State, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed has promised his full support to all Artisans that will move the state forward through different services rendered to humanity.
Speaking at a-3 day training seminar/workshop organized by the Nigeria Union of Tailors (NUT), Kwara State Chapter between May 17 to 19, at the Tailors house, Geri-Alimi, Olorunsogo, Borin. The governor, who was represented by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on artisans related matters, Honourable Oyedele Adetula, said Maigida was committed to the needs of Kwara residents and ready to reciprocate the good work of the Artisan.
He also called on other associations to follow suit the NUT's strategy of improving the skills and imparting modem knowledge on the members. The theme of this year seminar "Tailors upgrading and updating with Strong will and standard Practical practice" is aimed at improving the skills, modem knowledge of the profession, improve customer service and foster unity within the members.
The president of the NUT, Comrade Samuel Olaniyi Ayanda (JP) thanked the state government for the evergreen continuous support of the government through the provision of the needed equipment and micro finance loans for the NUT members, and other government patronages enjoyed. Comrade Ayanda, therefore, appeals to the members to be more steadfast, dedicated and remains focus for more benefits to come.
At the end of the seminar, three papers were presented, the first paper was presented by Dr. Muhammed Abdulrashid on 'What You Don't Know About Fruits And Vegetables May Be Killing You'. The second one by a Lagos based consultant, Mr. Temidayo Oyebamiji on 'Tailors Upgrading and Updating With Strong Will and Standard Practical Practice' while the last paper was delivered by Mrs. Precious Benson.
The NUT 2016 workshop was concluded with presentation of certificates to the participated members by the SSA on ArtIsan related matters Hon. Oyedele Adetula. The seminar was graced by the past leaders of the a like Alhaji Yusuf Akanbi Moroco, Alhaji Jimoh Ayinla Adeshma Muhmin Wara.
