Kwara's liberation story incomplete without late Omoiya - Belgore

Date: 2016-05-13

I received with shock the news of the sudden demise of Dr Sa'ad Yusuf Omoiya on Thursday afternoon. I join the entire Ilorin emirate to mourn the sad passage of Dr Omoiya. We condole with his immediate family and pray Allah to grant them the fortitude to bear the huge loss. We also commiserate with the academic and political communities in Ilorin in particular and Kwara as a whole where Dr Omoiya was a player.

I want to place on record that the story of our subsisting struggle to liberate Kwara from the clutches of poor governance and demagoguery will be incomplete without mentioning the roles played by the likes of scholar politician Dr Omoiya before and during the general elections of 2011 when he served as Director General of the Mohammed Dele Belgore Campaign Organisation.

May Allah SWT forgive his shortcomings and grant him al-janat.
