KWARA State Double T' Little League Baseball and Softball Association would hold a two-day coaching clinic and re-awakening programme from July 13 to 14 this year at the Adewole Baseball Park, Ilorin.

Coordinator of Double T' in Kwara State and Development Officer of Little League in South-South, Temitayo Femi Abolarin, said that the programme would begin at 2pm daily.

He stated that awards would also be presented to select personalities in the state during the coaching clinic designed for student-players and their Games Masters.

The awards recipients include wife of Kwara State Deputy Governor, Mrs Felicia Kisra, as the Life Matron of Kwara Double T' Little League Baseball and Softball, as the state's Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Hon. Anthony Kayode Towoju gets the Little League Father of the Year award. Hajia Ajoke Shuaib Oke emerges as Matron, while Chief David Akintola, Proprietor of David Akintola College will be honoured as the Patron.

Schools expected at the coaching clinic include David Akintola College, Ilorin, Abdulazeez Attah Memorial Secondary School, Ilorin, Government Secondary School, Ilorin, Government High School, Ilorin, Mount Carmel College, Ilorin, Chapel Secondary School, Ilorin, Unilorin Secondary School, Ilorin, St. Anthony Secondary School, Ilorin Ilorin Grammar School, Sapati International School, Roemichs International School, United Secondary School, and Ajoke Nursery and Primary School, Ilorin.

Abolarin, added that the aim of the programme was to bring baseball and softball back to life in the state, keep the youth off the streets, expose them to the rudiments of the game and give them scholarships in form of motivation.
